A question for our dedicated followers...

Habitat for Humanity Mid-Yellowstone Valley is always trying to achieve the easiest and most convenient way for you to keep up with what is happening at our organization.  With the digital age upon us, we are considering emailing our quarterly newsletters to you instead of sending  paper copies in the mail.  Would this be something you would be interested in?  Please send an email to applications@billingshabitat.org to let us know what you think.  We appreciate your input.

Habitat meets a little boy with a big heart

A Billings boy gave back to the community in a big way.

Six year-old Ian Wollschlager spent two of his Saturdays working his lemonade stand at the Log Cabin Bakery in downtown Billings. He raised $94.24, and Monday, he donated it all to the Habitat for Humanity. Ian said his parents helped him decide where to donate the money. "The best part was just having fun and doing it. I think it's to help a lot of people so they don't have to be cold in the winter time," Ian Wollschlager said.
Habitat for Humanity representatives say it's so cool Ian is being so gracious, and they thanked him for his gift to the nonprofit that builds homes for less fortunate. Ian said he will be selling hot apple cider at the Log Cabin Bakery Saturday morning, for yet another fundraiser

Habitat welcomes a new Development Director

Jim Woolyhand III was born and raised in Daytona Beach, Florida. He first came to Montana with his church group on a mission trip to Rocky Boy Indian Reservation, where they helped build a church in 2002.  He fell in love with Montana and graduated with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management. Jim is an avid outdoorsman. He enjoys hiking, camping, fly fishing and hunting. He loves the backcountry of Glacier and Yellowstone National Parks. Jim has taken youth groups to work on Habitat houses many times and in his interview his passion for the organization was clear. We welcome Jim and think he will be a great addition to our
team.
