Thank you for your concern about affordable housing, and for your interest in the Mid-Yellowstone Valley affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. We partner with families in need and help them build affordable houses for themselves and their families, providing no-interest and no-profit mortgages as a means to home ownership.
Over the years it has taken many different types of people (and different types of donations) to make the Billings Habitat for Humanity program such a success. Would you like to be part of this dynamic organization? Click on one of the links below to see how you can help. Whether your contribution is in the form of time, money, or an in-kind donation, we greatly appreciate your partnership with us. Together we aim to eliminate poverty housing in Yellowstone County.
Volunteers are essential to the success of Habitat for Humanity. More than 2,000 volunteer hours are worked each year at Habitat for Humanity Mid-Yellowstone Valley.
We are a volunteer-driven organization operated by a Board of Directors, standing committees, and staff which includes an Executive Director, Construction Supervisor, Volunteer Coordinator, ReStore Managers, Development Director and Executive Assistant.
Donations of your time are a great way to help build a house for someone in need. If you decide to contribute your labor, you will be working with like-minded people who have found it very rewarding to give something back to their community. Many local businesses and organizations build and bond their teams through volunteer time on our construction sites. A shared day of volunteerism can also make a memorable experience for members of an alumni group or family reunion.
No prior experience is required to volunteer, just interest and enthusiasm. In addition to construction work, there are various committees that need volunteers, plus there is always work to be done in the office and at the ReStore. Put your talents to work at Habitat!

Donations of money and land are other ways to help further the great work of the Billings Habitat for Humanity. The fact is that a lot of people volunteer, but it also takes money to purchase building materials and to pay for the daily operation of the organization. Your monetary gifts help keep us going. Land is also in constant demand for building sites, so land donations are greatly appreciated.
Money that you donate to Habitat for Humanity is tax deductible to the extent of the law. If you wish to donate land to Habitat for Humanity to be used as a building site please check with your financial advisor as to the tax implications involved with a transaction of this type.
If you do not have spare time to volunteer, and money is short, you may still be able to help us by donating your unneeded building materials. Items donated to the ReStore are sold to the public and the funds generated from the sales are used to finance our building projects.
Your unneeded, slightly damaged, overstock and closeout items can have a new life, and change the life of a local family!
Any tools or other building materials must be working and approved by the ReStore manager.
No Chemicals or Hazardous Materials. All Containers Must Have Labels And Warnings.
Appliances and Furniture Are Not Accepted.
