World Habitat Day

Since 1985, the first Monday in October has been designated as World Habitat Day in recognition of the need for simple and decent shelter for people in the United States and around the world. World Habitat Day is a call to action for individuals and organizations to change the reality of poverty housing and to work together to find solutions for those in need.
